This has been my favorite song to listen to in the car. The font and the colors come from the album "This is Happening". Can't help but turn up the volume.

This song about growing up without a father is probably the only reason "Hip Hop" was in my top 5 genres. I am surprised it's here though because I usually skip the last 30 seconds of instrumental.
Font: Liu Jian Mao Cao. The handwritten style of this font mimics the graffiti on the album "Doris" and the autobiographical nature of the track.
Song Exploder
Song Exploder is a fantastic podcast about the creative process from the perspective of musicians. Each episode features a single song, which the artist breaks apart piece by piece to explain how it was made.
I've left this one in Helvetica along with the rest of the site. It's a "blank slate" kind of font, representing the beginning of that creative process.
